Six times more events. No effort.

With AroundU our partners pick up on average 6 times more events than with their previous sources. We automate the search to cover every corner of the city, from a local opening night to the big festivals.

Typical single source (per week)~ 30/city

  1. 1

We map the sources in your city

We find out who announces events in that city: venues, town halls, associations, organisers, neighbourhood pages. Alongside them we add local websites and news outlets. The list is not fixed: whoever shows up later joins it.

  2. 2

    We watch them for you

Monitoring is automatic and continuous: you never have to ask us for an update, point us to a new source or check that something came through.

  3. 3

We turn an announcement into an event

From a post or a poster we extract title, date and time, venue, address, coordinates, category and the price when it is stated. Whatever is not written stays empty: we would rather leave a field out than invent it.

  4. 4

We deliver them where you work

REST API, CSV, Excel or webhook. The API returns the events of your cities with filters by date and category; the other formats arrive as a scheduled export.

We are not an events portal.
We are the data engine behind events portals.

We are not your competitor: we give you the raw material.
Apps, hotels, communities and local media build their own events experience on our data, always up to date.Below, the gist of what two customers tell us. They stay anonymous.
Their events section used to show the same five concerts over and over, and users drifted away. Now the feed is always alive: they look after the experience, we look after the data.
A city app
Their guests always ask what to do in town in the evening. Now the answer is already in their app and it updates itself, with almost no work left by hand.

The questions we get

If you need anything else, just write to us.

Where do the events come from?

From public content. The main source is social media, Instagram above all: that is where most local Italian events are announced, and often they show up nowhere else. On top of that we add local websites and news outlets. We do not collect private content or personal data about whoever publishes it.

Do I have to ask for updates?

No, and you do not even have to check that they arrived. Monitoring is automatic and continuous: new events show up in your feed on their own, in the format you chose. Nothing recurring is left on your side.

In which format do I get the events?

REST API with key authentication, CSV, Excel or webhook. Every event carries title, description, start and end in ISO 8601, venue name and address, coordinates, category, image and the price when it is stated. The technical documentation is public at arounduevents.it/docs.

Which cities do you cover?

The public catalogue shows Modena today, but for a customer we activate any Italian city: the setup work is mapping the sources of that city. The price depends on its size, with bands that run from under 100,000 inhabitants to more than 700,000.

How long does it take to start?

The technical integration is ready in under 12 hours: the API key or the first export arrives the same day. For a city we do not follow yet, first comes the mapping of its sources, which we do ourselves.

Why six times more events? Compared to what?

This is the most striking case we found, where a town council portal listed around 30 events a week: we found around 180. The difference is not the big events, which are announced everywhere: it is the dozens of gigs, book launches and openings that live only on the channel of whoever organises them. The time saved, up to 90%, is the time spent today finding them, checking them and copying them by hand.

What licence do the data come with?

A non-exclusive right of use to publish the events on the channels named in the contract (your site, your app, your newsletter, your social channels), for as long as the subscription lasts. Reselling to third parties and redistribution as a database are not included. Whatever you already published stays where it is: at the end of the subscription the feed stops, your pages do not.

Do you compete with our portal?

No: we sell the raw events, not the polished app that displays them. The public AroundU site is the reference catalogue, there to show that the product works and works well.
